Social Media
Let’s start with the most important question of all…
Do you need social media for your business? Is it really necessary for you to have LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest? The answer is: it depends.
Think about your business and your business goals. What type of business are you running? Where do you want to be in a year, in 5 years? Where are your clients? How do they find you? If part of your goals includes ramping up your presence online (not including a website, you should already have one of those) so customers can find you, then the short answer is yes: yes you should be on social media. If however you’re in a profession, where you gain most of your customers through referrals or confidentiality or restrictions need to be considered, then social media may not be necessary.
If you’re not sure, we can meet and discuss your needs and I can help you decide if social media is really something you need for your business.
If you’ve decided you need social media for your business but don’t have time to do it all yourself, I can help.
The marketing potential of social media can be incredible. You must always remember however that social media is about engagement. Unlike billboards or newspaper ads, it requires a level of interaction. And interaction requires time.
It requires you to communicate something more than a product and a price on a regular basis. It´s about building a relationship with and listening to your customers. Social media isn’t a substitute for a website. You should always have your own website that is completely branded to your business with all your products and services available 24/7. Social media, however, can be a very powerful supplement to your online marketing strategy.
Your customers are already on social media and I can help you reach them. It’s important to keep your audience engaged and in touch with your business so that it can always be their first option.
And believe it or not, users who have an interest in your business industry are talking about it on social media. That’s why you need to have a strong presence online on social media to meet them in their search, listen to their needs, engage with them, and be part of the conversation.
